These images represent some of the inspirations and ideas that originated during a cross-country bicycle trek. They are not meant to be any one specific thing or object, but instead represent the birth of an idea, concept or thread of thinking—something that I had a lot of time to do while riding long hours on the bike. The series title references the peeling away of layers of onion skin revealing new beneath the old, but also the relationship that exists between them. The transparency of glass contributes to the idea of this relationship also—visible but untouchable or fully understandable.
